When it comes to used forklifts, the initial selling price can vary drastically depending on where you shop. That’s because there are many more factors at play besides the brand. Brand is one of the most important factors, but one should consider more:

- Where did the unit come from?
- How was it reconditioned (if at all)?
- Does it come with a warranty?
- Who’s going to support that warranty?

The reconditioning process starts with the selection of a well-built and well-maintained forklift. Our reconditioned units are mostly three to eight years old depending on the model. Many start life in our extensive rental fleet and have been maintained exclusively by Summit. The process ends with the customer receiving not just a ‘like-new’ looking unit but a fully reconditioned unit with plenty of ‘get up and go’.
We stand by our used equipment with a real warranty. Long-distance sellers and auction houses either can’t provide a warranty, or they can’t support it. If you aren’t buying local, but are being offered a warranty, ask who’s going to make the repair when the equipment breaks down.
